EatTech \ The next step for food
The spirit of our time and technological capabilities nowadays shape the food for our own needs,
and thanks to them the way the food is presented is more accurate. The current reality of food
consumption begs the question of how to treat the most important material for man, food.
A deeper look into the identity of the food material enables us to know it, to understand its composition and to appreciate the wisdom in it. The power of such a deep observation is to make us utilize
the edible materials more properly and to the fullest.
This exhibition is based on three food materials developed by Israeli startups which promote and
advance the term nourishment. The source of all the ingredients is from the plant world and each
one is a different breakthrough in the developing food map. In this exhibition space, you will encounter
a character description of each of the material developments. This characterization gave rise to the
understanding of its potential and limitations, out of which an eating experience was tailored for
each material. This knowledge determines the temperature at which it is processed and served,
the textures and the palette of flavors.
The eating experience presented here enables us to understand the material and brings us closer to
the food. The culinary installations were developed by a collaboration between the field of design and
the world of gastronomy and science, with one single purpose in mind, to inspire and help integrate
materials, important for the improvement of our diet.
